Abilene is a Country song originally recorded by George Hamilton IV in 1963, and written by Bob Gibson and John D. Loudermilk. This 2013 version was recorded live (acoustic guitar and main vocals) in a secret room in Preston, Lancs. I then added more instruments and vocals, including a toy piano I found in a charity shop.

Acoustic Guitar, Vocals, Bass Guitar, Toy Piano

Abilene, Abilene
Prettiest town that I've ever seen
Women there don't treat you mean
In Abilene, my Abilene

I sit alone most every night
Watch those trains roll out of sight
How I wish they were
Carrying me back to Abilene
My Abilene

Abilene, Abilene
Prettiest town that I've ever seen
Women there don't treat you mean
Back in Abilene, my Abilene

Crowded city ain't nothing free
Nothing in this old town for me
Lord I wish that I could be back in Abilene
My Abilene
